Construction and deconstruction (i.e. making things explode)
>> Thursday, May 21, 2009

I meant to eventually come back and fix the layout/colors/general blogness looks, but the zombies were in need of feeding, and one thing led to another and... yeah, it didn't happen.
Currently I rather hate the way pictures and images fit in the sidebars, I'm debating a lighter, more eye-friendly color-scheme, etc, and I need to update link lists.
So, be prepared* for random bizarre occurrences of color blindness, more explosions than usual, and the screams of innocent passersby getting struck with falling debris. Bloggish re-construction is in the near future. (I live in Minnesota. Summer = road construction. Well, actually, there is no summer. The seasons are Winter and Road Construction. But anyway, I'm just going with my home state's trends from hell and initiating construction with the warm weather.)
Don't panic if you see flaming zombies falling into the moats, m'kay? 'S all I'm saying. It'll be a work in progress for a week or so.
(You're welcome to comment on how it looks. Love or hate or want to nuke it, it's all good. ;) I'm not a visual designer for a reason. :P)

But...I like this layout!
And the blog title...suggested other things %-)
"Well, actually, there is no summer. The seasons are Winter and Road Construction."
This made me choke on my cotton-candy-flavored pudding cup.
Yuna, the layout won't change. ;) That's far too much work! I'm only messing with colors. :P
T.D. -- *cackles* Always happy to induce choking--um, I mean, chuckles. O:)
(They MAKE cotton-candy flavored pudding cups? o.O)
So long as I don't have to read on a black background, I am happy. I love your layout, by the way. :D
Yeah, it's actually cotton candy jelly bean flavored. Jelly Belly branded. I hate jelly beans, but the pudding is quite tasty. I'm an impulse buyer when it comes to these things.
I'm still getting over the cotton-candy-flavored bit. :P
Dani--never fear, the only time I will have a black background and white text in actual posts is if the sun goes dark and my screen is glowing radioactively. ;)
Could be worse. Could be popcorn flavor.
. . . there is that. ;)
I trust your judgment, you know that. I'll let you know if I think it looks terrible, but sometimes I have no idea what I'm talking about...
Anything with fire is good. Or fire colors. Or explosions. Or, yeah, ya know.
And now I know what you look like. How did I miss this before???
I just put the photo up, uh, yesterday? Day before? Fairly recently either way. ;)
I'll mess with color schemes more later... I've been suddenly, painfully addicted to Twitter-length horror shorts just now. :P
*sighs at getting nothing else done*
I was innocently searching through blogs on dashboard whence I saw the word “deconstruction,” and I started to get flashbacks from grad school. I hated Derrida, and all of those people who could explain deconstruction better than me! *sigh* I know that's not what you were talking about. Blog looks great. ;-)
Thanks, Litgirl! :D
Lol--yeah, I merely like the word deconstruction. ;) It's like discombobulated. It's just fun to say. O:)
*peers at Merc's picture*
Did we go to school together?
Why do you look like my sister?
Do we have to share zombie hordes if we're related?
. . .
No, we don't need to share zombie hordes. %-) Mine!
*snickers*
I think I explained it on CC...
I like the current appearance a lot. Also, how cool is it to be able to see what you look like! I had a TOTALLY different idea based on your Twitter avatar :)
Thanks, Chris! :D
Yes, I WISH I looked like my Twitter pic. Maybe once I get the cyborg implants working properly... (laser eyes, ftw! Not to mention a secondary velociraptor shape)
When we think of construction industry, it involves many heavy equipments like the crane trucks where it plays one of the big roles in the job. We cannot deny that they are the key player with regards to heavy jobs in the construction site.
I like the double sidebar--I would like to shake up our layout too but I'm a bit paranoid that I would lose everything, lol...
--Angela, who is extremely not technical at all.
Heh, I know what you mean, Angela. Thus, color changes only for now. O:) (I've accidentally deleted all my blog rolls before. More than once. I'm a bit paranoid about it now. :P)
Just went through and reassembled all her blog rolls.
Not cool.
